This depicts a winter walk in the village of Fenwick. When I was a child, Haney’s Hardware and a butcher shop were fixtures there. Our collie, Lucky, would travel down the street to the butcher shop every day, and rest in the doorway until the butcher would give her a bone. Then she would trot back home and be satisfied for another day. Oh, the good old days!
